Day 1: SAPA - 1,100m base camp

Today
the real climb starts. A jeep will take you to Cat Cat Village. From here you walk down to Cat Cat Valley at 1,100 m. You will cross a river and from here it is uphill on narrow trails and through small spectacular passes with subtropical forest. Be aware of leeches on the first part of the trek. We will set up our camp at an altitude of around 2,000 m. and our guide and porters will prepare the food on a open fire. ( L, D).

Day 2: 2,000 to 2,700m base camp

This day the trail becomes more steep and sometimes you will have to climb a bit by using the roots of the trees. You will walk through dense trails with bamboo. Today you will walk 6-8 hours. At an altitude of around 2,700 m. we will set up camp. (B, L, D).

Day 3: Summit day

After breakfast we will continue uphill and after a couple of hours walk we reach a ridge (2,900 m) from where there is a nice view of SAPA and Fansipan. From here it is downhill to the camp at 2,600 m. We leave some of the porters to prepare the camp and continue up on trails through dense bamboo forest and small bushes. Suddenly we arrive to the top of Fansipan (3,143 m). If the weather is clear you can see all the way to China in the North and West and Lao in the South. The view is fantastic. From here it is straight back down to camp. (B, L,D).

Day 4: Sapa

Today we will walk the same way back as we came up the mountain and will arrive in SAPA in the afternoon. ( B). End our services of Vietnam Adventure Tours
