Kampong Kliang Cambodia Travel Guide
Experience the life on water is the highlight of trips to Kampong Kliang. Having lunch in a local house, peddling through the floating forest or helping local fishermen a hand catching their dinners, stay overnight with villagers, it`s all possible here. An excursion to floating villages can easily be combined with a visit to the Roulous group, Beng Mealea or charity organizations as well.
Getting there
Kampong Kliang village can be reached by boat from the Chong Khneas docks or by a combination of road to Domdek on Route No.6 and then boat to the village, the best method depending on the time of year. During the dry season, boats cannot get all of the way to the main villages.
When to go?
Depending on the water level, visitors can reach this floating village either by boat or by car. But the period between August and February, a visit to floating villages is a real treat.
